Grade 9

• Rising 9th Grade Orientation in August before school opens. Class schedules and lockers are distributed by HS counselors. Students follow their class schedules and find their classrooms, meet with SAS Ambassadors for question/answer session
  
• Freshmen Study hall throughout the school year. Topics include:
  • time management and study skills
  • Introduction to Naviance®
  • Do What you are
  • developing a four-year High School academic plan,
• Six-week and twelve-week "Progress Report" meetings with counselors
• Grade 9 to 10 Course orientation in January
• Grade 9 and 12 discussion group in January
